|Tomatoes||2 Small, cut into wedges|
|Green pepper||1 Medium, cut into rings|
|Cucumber||1⁄2 Medium, thinly sliced|
|Onion||1⁄2 Medium, sliced and separated into rings (Red / White Colored)|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Salad oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Dried basil||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
In a large mixing bowl combine tomatoes, green pepper, cucumber, and red or white onion.
In a screw-top jar combine vinegar, oil, sugar, basil, salt, and pepper.
Cover and shake well to mix.
Pour over vegetables; toss to coat.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours, tossing occasionally.
Line a serving plate with lettuce, if desired.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer vegetable mixture to the plate.
