1. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm, 6 to 8 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook about 1 minute, or until golden. Add salt, hot pepper flakes, pepper, and parsley.
3. Drain pasta and pour into pan. Toss to coat. Pass a bowl of Romano cheese on the side.
