Ranch Hand Chili
|Ground beef||3 Pound|
|Onion||1 Large, chopped|
|Comino seeds||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic salt/Garlic powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Chili powder||4 Tablespoon (Gebhardts)|
|Worcestershire sauce||4 Tablespoon|
|Red pepper pod||1 Large, seeded and cut into small strips|
|Canned tomato sauce||16 Ounce (Hunts, 2 Cans, 8 Ounce Each)|
|Hot water||1 Quart|
Cook meat, stirring until brown, in a large, heavy Dutch oven or iron skillet with a lid.
Keeping heat as low as possible, add comino seeds, garlic salt, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, pepper pod, tomato sauce, hot water and salt.
Simmer, covered, over very low heat for at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
This is a mild and flavorful chili, recommended for the faint-hearted.
