High Fiber Chili

|Lean ground beef||1 Pound|
|Onion||1 Large, sliced|
|Green pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Bran flakes cereal||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Kellogg's Brand)|
|Tomato sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cooked red kidney beans||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs), drained|
|Whole peeled tomatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs), drained|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chili powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1 Dash|
In a large saucepan, cook beef, onion and green pepper until meat is browned, stirring frequendy.
Drain off excess drippings.
Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer over low heat about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
