High Fiber Chili

Ingredients
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Large, sliced
  Green pepper 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Bran flakes cereal 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Kellogg's Brand)
  Tomato sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cooked red kidney beans 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs), drained
  Whole peeled tomatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs), drained
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1 Dash
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
Directions

In a large saucepan, cook beef, onion and green pepper until meat is browned, stirring frequendy.
Drain off excess drippings.
Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer over low heat about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
