Creamy Penuche Squares

Ingredients
  Light brown sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Evaporated milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 4 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Nuts   , chopped (for garnish)
Directions

Combine brown sugar, milk, butter and salt in sauce- pan.
Boil over low heat to soft-ball stage or to 238 idegrees on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat; let stand for about 3 minutes.
Beat until candy thickens; stir in vanilla and nuts.
Pour into greased dish.
Let harden; cut into squares.
