|Light corn syrup||1 Tablespoon|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
1. Combine brown sugar, salt, corn syrup, milk and butter in a 2-quart oven-proof glass mixing bowl/pitcher. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 4 minutes at HIGH; stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Continue cooking to soft-ball stage (6 to 8 minutes at HIGH); stir occasionally.
2. Cool mixture to lukewarm, then beat. When mixture first begins to thicken, add nuts and vanilla extract; mix well. Turn into a greased 8-inch square dish. Cool and cut into squares.
