Pecan Sticks

Ingredients
  Shortening 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg yolk 1
  Cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
  Cake flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Egg white 1 , beaten stiff
  Chopped pecans 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Cream shortening end 1 cup sugar together, add egg yolk, cinnamon and flour.
Mix thoroughly.
Spread 1/4 inch thick in a well greased 10x15 inch pan.
Add tablespoon sugar to beaten egg white and brush over top of dough.
Cover with thick layer of pecans and press into dough.
Bake 20 minutes at 350°F.
Makes 75 1x2 inch sticks.
Add the cup of pecans to dough and sprinkle additional nuts on top.
