Crunchy Pecan Topping
|Coarsely chopped pecans||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Firmly packed light brown sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Melted butter/Margarine||3 Tablespoon|
|Whipped cream/Dessert topping||1 Tablespoon|
|Pecan halves||1 Tablespoon (for garnish, adjust quantity as needed)|
1. In a small bowl, mix together pecans and brown sugar.
2. Drizzle melted butter over the pecan mixture and stir until the mixture is moistened uniformly.
3. Spread Crunchy Pecan Topping over cooled pumpkin pie.
4. In a broiler, place the pie at about 5 inches from heat and broil for just 1 to 2 minutes until pecan topping is bubbly.
Cool before serving or serve warm.
