Pear

Pears are juicy fruits seen mostly in regions with cool climate, certain varieties of which resemble apple in form and shape. Unripe fruit is light yellow and green in color, which when ripens develops into red or brown hue. Pear fruit has tremendous health implications; it is rich in B-complex vitamins, Vitamin C and also is a rich source of Phosphorous and Iodine. It is a tradition in almost all parts of the world that Pear juice is often the first juice given to newborns. Pears can be eaten fresh or can also be processed into canned or dried fruits, juices etc.
