Cut off about 1 inch from the top of the pears.
Scoop out the core from the center without making a hole right through the fruit.
Fill the holes with honey and cinnamon, cover with the tops of the pears and place in ovenproof individual dishes in which they will be served.
Steam from half an hour to an hour, depending on the size and ripeness of the fruit, until the fruit is cooked through.
Serve very hot.
