Poached Pears In Red Wine is simply irresistible, to say the least! Try this Poached Pears In Red Wine; I am sure you'll have a huge fan following for this one.
Ingredients
  Port wine/Dry red wine 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Pears 8 Medium, ripe and peeled
  Red food coloring 2 Drop
  Lemon peel strips 4
Directions

Put wine & sugar in saucepan.
Cover and cook on high until sugar is dissolved.
Peel pears, keeping whole and leaving stems on.
Peel into saucepan (turn to coat well).
Add food coloring and lemon peel.
Cover and cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours, turning occasionally.
Serve with wine poured over pears.
