Chilled Baked Pears
|Pears||6 Large, firm|
|Maple syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Orange juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Halve pears lengthwise; peel, core and discard stem and blossom ends.
Pierce each half with 2 cloves.
Place, rounded sides up, in baking dish.
Mix maple syrup and orange juice, and pour over fruit.
Cover, and bake in oven at 350°F. about 30 minutes or until fruit is tender when tested with fork.
Chill before serving.
