Chocolate Pears

Ingredients
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Cocoa 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Combine sugar, cornstarch, cloves, cinnamon, cocoa and 1 cup water in saucepan; simmer until syrupy.
Add butter and pear halves; simmer until pears are soft.
Serve topped with whipped cream, if desired.
