|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Heavy cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 475 degrees^ Peel, quarter and core pears; arrange in 1 layer in buttered cake pan.
Sprin- kle with sugar; dot with butter.
Bake for 15 minutes, basting once.
Pour cream over pears; bake for 2 min- utes longer.
