|Firm pears||3 Pound, ripe|
|Crushed pineapple||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|Food coloring||3 Drop, red and yellow|
Core and slice pears; grind pears.
Combine pears, pineapple and sugar; bring to a boil.
Simmer for 20 minutes or until thick, stirring frequently.
Stir in several drops of red and yellow food coloring.
Ladle into hot, sterilized glasses.
Cover with 1/8 inch melted paraffin.
