Cinnamon Pears

Ingredients
  Water 2 Quart
  Red hot candies 10 Ounce (1 package)
  Cinnamon sticks 4
  Whole cloves 6
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Red food coloring 1⁄2 Ounce (1/2 large bottle)
  Peeled pears 4 Quart, halved or quartered
Directions

Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large container and bring to a boil.
Fill the pan with the pears and cook until tender.
Remove the cinnamon and cloves.
Fill pint or quart jars and seal while hot.
Process for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath.
