Pears Au Gratin
|Pears||2 Pound, peeled, cored, and cut in 1/2-inch slices (5 In Number)|
|Apricot preserves||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry white wine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dried macaroon crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Overlap pear slices in layers in buttered 10 x 6 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
Heat preserves and put through sieve.
Add wine to sieved preserves and pour over pears.
Sprinkle with macaroon crumbs and dot with butter or margarine.
Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or till pears are done and crumbs are browned.
