Pears Au Gratin

Ingredients
  Ripe pears 2 Pound, pared, cored, and cut in 1/2-inch slices (5 In Number)
  Apricot preserves 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dry white wine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dried macaroon crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
Directions

Overlap pear slices in layers in buttered 10 x 6x1 1/2-inch baking dish.
Heat preserves and put through sieve; add wine and pour over pears.
Sprinkle with macaroon crumbs and dot with butter.
Bake in hot oven (400°) 20 to 25 minutes or till pears are done and crumbs are lightly browned.
