|Ripe pears||3 Medium, peeled, cored, and sliced|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Red cinnamon candies||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until pears are tender, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, and let cool.
Transfer mixture to an airtight jar.
Cover and chill.
