Baked Pears En Casserole
|Chopped seedless raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Grated lemon rind||1 Teaspoon|
|Sauterne wine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Brandy||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Macaroon crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Peel and core pears and slice into thin slices.
Mix raisins, sugar and lemon rind and arrange alternately with pear slices in a buttered 1-quart casserole.
Pour wine and brandy over pears.
Cover and bake in a 350° F.oven for 30 minutes.
Uncover, sprinkle macaroon crumbs on top and bake another 10 minutes or until crumbs are browned.
