|Pear halves in their own juice||16 Ounce|
|Red food coloring||4 Drop|
Drain juice from the pears into a glass bowl.
Add red food coloring and stir to blend.
Add pears, making sure pears are completely immersed in the liquid.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 day to chill and absorb the pink color.
With a slotted spoon, remove pear halves to 4 chilled lettuce trimmed plates.
Optional: Place a mint sprig in the cavity of each pear half.
