Cinnamon Spiced Pear
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Anise extract||2 Drop|
|Cinnamon stick||1 (1 1/2 Inches Long)|
|Ripe bosc pear||1⁄2 Pound (1 Piece)|
1. Combine all ingredients except pear in a 10-ounce glass dish. Cover with plastic wrap.
2. Cook in microwave oven 2 to 3 minutes at High, or until sugar is dissolved; stir once.
3. Remove the core from the blossom end of pear. Slit skin from stem to bottom 4 times. Stand pear in syrup.
4. Cook covered 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes at High, or until pear is tender but still retains shape. Let stand 3 minutes before serving.
