Peanut Crunch

 

Peanut crunch is a type of sugar confectionary. It is similar to brittle which is nothing but small pieces of hard candy having peanuts embedded in it. It has a sweet buttery flavor with a prominent flavor of peanuts.

 

 

Ingredients and Preparation

 

Peanut, sugar and butter are the main ingredients of Peanut crunch. Sugar and butter are heated in a heavy bottom pan. Roasted peanuts are added to the caramelized sugar. The hot mixture is poured over a marble slab. Once cool and hard, it is broken by hand.

 

 

Serving

 

·         Peanut crunch is served as a tea snack.

·         It can also be broken into pieces and served along with ice cream.

 

 

Variations

 

·         Various different nuts like pecans, almonds, cashews or walnuts can be used instead of Peanuts.
