Boiled peanuts are a great Southern snack that I grew up eating. When you add spice and heat, it makes them even better. Be sure to give this simple recipe a try.
1 Cup (16 tbs) (Swampfire)
Crushed red peppers
1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
In a large stock pot, combine washed peanuts and spices. Cover with water and cook for 3 to 4 hours until peanuts are tender. Keep checking the level of the water every hour and stir as you're cooking the peanuts. Once the peanut are tender, strain and serve hot.
