|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (4.8 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Egg yolks||2 , slightly beaten|
|Almond extract||1⁄3 Teaspoon|
|Baked tart shells||6 Inch (3 Inch)|
In the top of a double boiler mix together sugar, flour, corn- starch and salt.
Stir in milk.
Cook over low heat, stirring con- stantly, until thick.
Pour slowly into beaten egg yolks, return to double boiler and cook over boiling water 3 minutes.
Pour mixture into tart shells.
Place a peach half on each, cut side up.
If desired, garnish with whipped cream.
