Crisp Peaches

  Hazelnuts 3 Ounce, coarsely ground (75 Gram)
  Ground cinnamon 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  Clear honey 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  Vegetable margarine 1 Ounce (25 Gram)
  Water 60 Milliliter (3-4 Tablespoons)

1. Halve and stone the peaches. Put into the base of a large casserole or ovenproof dish with the cut sides uppermost.
2. Combine the hazelnuts and cinnamon in a small bowl. Melt the honey and margarine over a moderate heat in a small pan. Pour over the hazelnuts and cinnamon and mix well.
3. Top each of the peach halves with some of the nut mixture. Spoon the water around the peaches and cover the dish.
4. Bake in a preheated oven at Gas Mark 4,350°F, 180°C for 20 minutes. If desired, the peaches can be browned under a preheated moderate grill for 5 minutes before serving. Serve hot or cold.
