Oven Baked Peaches With Ginger

Ingredients
  Firmly packed brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), divided
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Peaches 6 Medium, peeled and halved crosswise
  Minced crystallized ginger 2 Tablespoon
  Light rum 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Maraschino cherries 12
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Sprinkle half of sugar in a 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish; dot with 2 tablespoons butter.
Place peaches on top of sugar and butter; sprinkle with ginger.
Pour rum over peaches; place cherry in center of each peach half, and sprinkle with remaining sugar.
Dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
Spoon two peach halves and syrup into individual serving dishes.
