Fresh Green Peas

Ingredients
  Fresh green peas 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Boiling water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sugar 6 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 1 Teaspoon
  Soy sauce   (as required)
Directions

Add peas to boiling water.
Put in salt.
Bring to a boil again, reduce heat, and simmer until soft.
Add sugar; simmer for 15 minutes more.
Cool.
If desired, thicken with cornstarch.
Before serving, add soy sauce to taste.
