Black Eyed Peas
|Black eyed peas||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Honey/Brown sugar||2 Teaspoon|
|Dry mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Tomato sauce||3 Teaspoon|
Presoak peas 6-8 hours.
Place peas in a large pan, add water, cover, and cook until nearly done and water is nearly absorbed, about 1-1 1/2 hours.
Combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
Add to the peas and simmer until sauce is almost absorbed.
Peas should still be very moist.
Serve as a vegetable as a main dish.
