Buttered Sugar Peas
|Fresh sugar peas/6-ounce frozen pea pods||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Wash fresh peas.
In saucepan combine fresh or frozen pea pods, water, salt, and sugar.
Cover and bring to boiling.
Boil 2 minutes; drain well.
Meanwhile, melt butter over medium heat.
Cook, stirring occasionally, till butter is light golden brown.
Add butter to the drained pea pods; toss to coat evenly.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
