Short Crust Pastry
|Plain flour||200 Gram|
|Butter||125 Gram, chilled|
|Cold water||4 Tablespoon|
Place the flour, the salt and the butter cut into cubes in the work bowl and process until the consistency of breadcrumbs.
Add the water all at once and process until the pastry forms a ball.
Do not over process.
Place the pastry on to a floured surface and roll out in a circle slightly larger than the flan.
Roll the pastry on to the rolling pin and then unroll into the flan.
Press against the bottom and sides.
Bake according to recipe selected.
