Mix and sift flour, baking powder, and salt; cut in shortening; add orange juice gradually.
Mix; roll out 1/4-inch thick on lightly floured board.
Cut into 4-inch squares, spread 1 diagonal half of each pastry square with one of the jams or with apple butter.
Fold over other half of square, forming triangle.
Moisten edges and seal; sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 425Â° until light brown
