Quick Puff Pastry

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Lard 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Ice water 2 Tablespoon
  Butter 2 Tablespoon (firm)
Directions

Combine flour and salt in mixing bowl.
Add lard and cut in coarsely.
Sprinkle in water, a little at a time, mixing lightly with a fork just until the flour is moistened.
Gather dough into a ball and press together with hands.
Roll 1/8 inch thick on a floured pastry cloth or board.
Dot all over with tiny pieces of butter. (Be sure the butter is firm but not hard.)
Fold in two opposite sides so they meet in the centre.
Press gently around edges to seal well.
Fold in other two sides so they meet in the centre and seal again by pressing gently.
Wrap in waxed paper and chill well.
Roll out to fit top of casserole as directed in recipe for steak pie.
