Flaky Pastry

If you wish to cook up a great meal, this Flaky Pastry has to be a part of it! A truly awesome combination anyone would love to savor. Also, this Flaky Pastry can be cooked in no time; a good reason to try it out!
Ingredients
  Sifted flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Shortening 7⁄10 Cup (11.2 tbs)
  Milk 1⁄10 Cup (1.6 tbs)
Directions

Mix together flour and salt.
Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture looks like coarse cornmeal.
Remove 1/4cup of this mixture.
Mix well with the milk and stir into the flour shortening mixture until a dough is formed.
Press into a ball and flatten slightly.
Roll half the dough between 2 pieces of waxed paper as shown for Salad Oil Pastry.
Proceed according to directions for either pie shells or a double crust pie.
Makes two 8 or 9-inch shells or one double crust pie.
