Deep Dish Ham Pie With Cheese Pastry
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Powdered mustard||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Instant minced onion||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||3 Ounce, undrained (1 Can)|
|Diced cooked ham||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Cooked peas||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Melt butter and blend in flour, mustard, and onion.
Gradually add milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add remaining ingredients except salt and pepper and pastry.
Heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Put in 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Roll out Cheese Pastry to 1/8 inch thickness, cut into 1/2 inch strips, and fit over top of pie, lattice fashion.
Bake in preheated hot oven (425 °F.) for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
