Onions In Rich Pastry

Ingredients
  Flour 1 2⁄3 Cup (26.67 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Margarine 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Milk 17 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Sliced mushrooms 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cream cheese 3 Ounce (1 Package)
  Grated parmesan cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Sift 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt into bowl; cut in 1/2 cup margarine.
Blend egg with 1 tablespoon milk;add to flour mixture.
Stir with fork until dough clings together; roll out to 1/8-inch thickness.
Cut with 2 1/2-inch round cutter.
Arrange pastry circles in large pie pan, lining side and bottom.
Reserve 6 to 8 circles.
Place onions in saucepan; cover with water.
Add remaining salt.
Boil for 10 minutes; drain.
Place remaining margarine, mushrooms and onions in skillet; saute lightly for 10 minutes.
Add cream cheese, stirring until cheese is melted; add Parmesan cheese.
Combine 1 cup milk and 2 tablespoons flour; stir into cheese mixture.
Pour into baking dish; top with reserved pastry circles.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
