Hot Water Crust Pastry

Ingredients
  Margarine 3 Ounce (75 Gram)
  Water 1⁄4 Pint (150 Milliliter)
  Plain flour 10 Ounce (175 Gram)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Egg yolk 1
Directions

Heat the margarine and water together in a saucepan until the margarine has melted, then bring rapidly to the boil.
Place the remaining ingredients in the bowl and pour the hot liquid through the feed tube.
Mix to a dough, using the double-bladed chopping knife.
Turn out onto a floured board and knead lightly until smooth.
Leave to rest in a polythene bag for 30 minutes.
Use as required.
