Grandma's cookbook is one of the best places to find a delicious recipe, this Pastry Crust is right out from there. This is an all time classic recipe to make your favorite sweet or savory pies. There is no bigger sin than reading this recipe of Pastry Crust and not trying it out.
Ingredients
  Flour 125 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Butter 60 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)
  Egg yolk 1
  Lemon juice 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  Cold water 1 Tablespoon
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Milk 45 Milliliter (3 Tablespoon, For Glaze)
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)

MAKING
2 In a bowl, place flour and salt.
3 Add in the butter.
4 Gently mix with the fingertips only, to a bread crumb consistency.
5 Mix in egg yolk and lemon juice.
6 Using a knife, cut in 1 tbsp (15 ml) water, adding a little more if necessary to form a stiff dough.
7 Turn out onto a floured board and knead gently into a smooth ball.
8 If using to make a pie, roll out to size of pie plate.
9 Carefully line pie plate with crust.
10 Prick base with a fork.
11 Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

SERVING
12 Use as desired, to make your favorite pies.
