Hot Water Pastry
|Boiling water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Shortening/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Pastry flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Add boiling water to the shortening, and beat with a fork until fluffy.
Add flour sifted and measured with salt, all at once, and continue stirring until mixture forms a large smooth ball that leaves the bowl clean.
This is a very tender pastry with a delicious texture.
