|Canned sardines in oil||3 3⁄4 Ounce, drained, skinned, and boned (1 Can)|
|Minced onion||1 Tablespoon|
|Lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Chili powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Hard cooked egg||1 , shelled and chopped|
|Thin bread slices/Toast||4|
Mash sardines with a fork.
Stir in all ingredients except bread until thoroughly blended.
Trim crusts and flatten bread with a rolling pin.
Spread with paste.
Roll bread slices, fasten with toothpicks, and place on a lightly greased baking pan.
Bake in a 400° oven until bread is toasted and appetizer is heated through.
Spread may also be served on buttered toast.
