Pasta With Bacon And Nuts
|Penne pasta||500 Gram|
|Olive oil||45 Milliliter|
|Garlic||10 Gram, crushed|
|Bacon rashers||6 , with the rind removed, and finely chopped|
|Basil leaves||30 Gram, chopped|
|Freshly ground black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Walnuts||50 Gram, roughly chopped|
|Parmesan cheese||30 Gram, grated|
Bringe a large saucepan of water to a boil, add the pasta and cook until al dente Drain under cold water and toss lightly in a little of the olive oil to prevent it | from sticking.
Meanwhile, heat the rest of the oil in a large frying pan over moderate heat.
Add the garlic and stir for a couple of minutes.
Add the bacon and stir for a few more minutes till it is well browned.
Add the chopped basil leaves, ground black pepper and the chopped walnuts and heat through.
Add the pasta to the bacon and walnut mixture and toss, to combine all the ingredients well.
Remove from heat and serve immediately, topped with freshly-grated Parmesan cheese.
Garnish with oregano and red chilli flakes before serving.
