Authentic Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients
  Broad noodles 1⁄2 Pound
  Boiling salted water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Soft sweet butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Grated parmesan cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Cook noodles in plenty of boiling salted water until just tender.
Drain, and place in large heated bowl.
Add butter and cheese, and using long-handled spoon and fork, toss together quickly until noodles are thoroughly coated.
Serve immediately on hot plates.
This recipe offers probably the simplest and most excellent method for preparing pasta.
The trick is to plan a suitable menu (perhaps with a big salad bowl of crisp vegetables and finely diced cooked ham or bacon bits), to have everything ready at the table and everyone waiting to sit down, and to serve without a moment's delay so that all can enjoy this fresh main dish piping hot.
