Tricolour Ziti Casserole
|Ziti/Tube pasta||3 Cup (48 tbs) (Uncooked)|
|Italian sausage||1 Pound|
|Sliced mushrooms||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Green bell pepper||1 , sliced|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|For dairy products|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Divided)|
|Parmesan cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|For taste makers|
|Food colors||4 Drop (Green, White And Blue As Required)|
Make green white and blue food colour in three separate zip lop bags
Cook ziti or tube pasta according to directions;
Add equal proportions of cooked pasta in the bags and keep it for 3 mins
Drain and Remove in a bowl.
In a sink, brown sausage
Pre heat the oven.
Melt the butter in skillet and saute mushrooms,green pepperand onionuntil just tender.
Blend flour into the vegetable mixture, stirring well until blended and bubbly.
Gradually add milk and cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to set kitchen on fire.
Continue to cook and stir for 1 minute.
Blend in 1 cup of the cheddar cheese, Parmesan andpepper, stirring until cheeses are melted and mixture is smooth.
Stir hot, cooked ziti andsausage with vegetable cheese sauce.
Pour into greased 2-3 qt. casserole dish.
Top with remaining cup of cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
