Tomato Sauce For Pasta
|Tomatoes||2 Pound (Or 1 Large Tin)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed with salt|
|Lemon thyme sprig||1⁄2|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
1. In a pan melt butter and fry crushed garlic for 2 mins.
2. Add chopped tomatoes and garlic to it.
3. Mix the herbs and seasoning.
4. Stir and cook slowly for 1 1/4 hrs.
5. Let cool and sieve the sauce or pass through a mouli. It should be thick and dark red.
6. Reheat the puree before serving.
