Om Thorp's Linguini With White Clam Sauce

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), mixed with olive oil
  Olive oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), mixed with butter
  Garlic clove 1 Large, finely chopped
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Clam juice 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Parsley 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Minced clams 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Cook garlic for 1 minute over medium heat in oil.
Stir in flour.
Add juice and seasonings.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Add clams and heat through.
Serve over linguini.
