Om Thorp's Linguini with White Clam Sauce

|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), mixed with olive oil|
|Olive oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), mixed with butter|
|Garlic clove||1 Large, finely chopped|
|Clam juice||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Minced clams||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Cook garlic for 1 minute over medium heat in oil.
Stir in flour.
Add juice and seasonings.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Add clams and heat through.
Serve over linguini.
