Tortellini Alfredo With Roasted Peppers
|Refrigerated meat filled tortellini/Refrigerated cheese filled tortellini||9 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Roasted red sweet peppers||3 1⁄2 Ounce (Half Of A 7 Ounce Jar, 1/2 Cup)|
|Refrigerated light alfredo sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shredded basil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Coarsely ground black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1. Prepare the tortellini according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, drain the roasted sweet peppers and cut into 1/2-inch-wide strips.
2. In a large saucepan heat the alfredo sauce. Add the cooked and drained tortellini. Reduce heat; add the sweet pepper strips. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring often.
3. To serve, stir half of the basil into the pasta mixture. Spoon mixture into shallow pasta bowls or onto dinner plates. Sprinkle with ground black pepper and the remaining basil.
