Basic Tomato Pasta Sauce
|Carrot||1 , coarsely chopped|
|Stalk celery||1 , coarsely chopped|
|Onion||1 , coarsely chopped|
|Crushed tomatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Minced parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Dried basil||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Dried oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
In a food processor, process the carrots, celery, and onions with on/off turns until finely chopped.
Transfer to a lightly oiled 8" X 8" baking dish.
Add the oil and stir well.
Microwave for 2 minutes.
Stir in the tomatoes, garlic, parsley, basil, oregano, and pepper.
Cover with a lid and microwave on high for 4 minutes.
