Spaghetti Sauce Bolognaise
|Olive oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Onions||2 , chopped|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Tvp mince/4 vegetable burgers, crumbled||4 1⁄2 Ounce (1 packet)|
|Mushrooms||1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced|
|Canned chopped tomatoes||32 Ounce (2 cans, 16oz each)|
|Tomato paste||5 Tablespoon|
|Fresh basil||To Taste|
|Water/Vegetable stock (if using protein mince)||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Heat the oil in a frying pan and saute the onions and garlic until lightly browned.
Add the TVP mince and mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes, stirring often.
Add the tomatoes, tomato paste and basil (and water if using TVP mince) and simmer, covered, for 1 hour (it may be ready sooner, but the longer it simmers, the better the flavour).
Add a little water or vegetable stock if the sauce becomes too thick.
