Basil Spaghetti Sauce
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Garlic||8 Clove (40 gm), minced|
|Vegetable oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Coarsely chopped peeled tomatoes||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
|Minced fresh basil/2 tablespoons dried basil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Minced fresh parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat, saute onion and garlic in oil until tender.
Add tomatoes, basil, parsley, salt, pepper and sugar; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours.
