Classic Fettuccine Alfredo
|Heavy cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Fettuccine||12 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Grated parmesan cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Progresso)|
|Ground black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
In a saucepot large enough to hold all the cooked pasta place cream and butter.
Cook over low heat until butter melts; set aside.
Cook fettuccine according to package directions until just tender.
Drain and transfer to the saucepot containing cream.
Add Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper and nutmeg.
Cook over low heat, tossing gently, until fettuccine are evenly coated with sauce.
